In 1957, the March of Dimes Galaxy of Stars promotional acetate was issued exclusively for radio stations participating in the national polio campaign. The original 16″ disc — now extraordinarily rare — featured musical contributions from several major stars of the era, including Elvis Presley himself.
For the first time ever, this historic release returns as a 12″ vinyl reissue, faithfully restored and available exclusively at Bennies Fifties.

Elvis & The March of Dimes – A Historic Collaboration

Beginning in 1956, Elvis Presley actively supported the March of Dimes in its mission to fight polio. His contributions included:

appearing in national ads and posters

visiting hospitalized children

donating toys and his time

meeting with March of Dimes youth

providing music for the 1957 Galaxy of Stars broadcast
